Day 53 Going West again!
Original article · 11 June 2009
Hello it's me thought I'd do a blog haven't done one for over a week - everyone is well.   Thank you very much to all of you who bought me a virtual pint for my birthday it's very kind of you - I am really looking forward to the real thing!! It's been really frustrating and mixed week since my birthday we have been going backwards but we are now heading in the right direction and all is looking good. We should be further west by the weekend. Lots more action in the water with lots of fish - black with blue fins think they might be mackerel or possibly tuna.  Fly fishing off the back of the boat yesterday which was really good fun. Apart from that we just keep chugging along and hope to catch up the week we are behind. Happy belated Birthday mate!!! Couldn't think of a better place to celebrate. You are both leg-ends!!!!!! Tom mentioned brain teasers and I heard this one on an episode of Columbo (probably the best show of all time). See if you get it - its called a minimal information problem: There are several sacks of gold coins (as many as you like). However, one of these sacks contains fake gold coins and subsequently weighs slightly more than the others (lets say a pound more in weight). You have one token which you can use by putting it in the weighing machine. It produces one weight reading. Once you have used the token you cannot use it again. Using this one token, which is the sack full of fake coins?

Great to hear you're back on it boys! I'm just about to head off to catch my flight to the Comores Islands. I'll report back and tell you all about the great things you can expect from that part of the world when you reach land! Keep up the awesome work and here's hoping for good weather and more surfing for you. Ed
