Tim, a technical genius, is interested in the finer details. Having spent much time with Tim on 'Jeez Louise it became clear to us that his skills were needed aboard 'Flying Ferkins'. During our first sea trials Tim helped us become accustomed to our training equipment and provided us with huge amounts of information about our boat speed and performance writing notes about how to streamline our boat throughout the night. His support will help to shave off any wasted time that will lose us the world record.

Tim and Jem have been sailing together for a number of years and both have extensive sailing knowledge that we hope to harness. During the race Jem and Tim will become tacticians, alongside providing us with essential information about our progress, the weather and currents, one of their main responsibilities will be to set us on to a particular bearing to make our way across the Indian Ocean as efficiently as possible.
